ABOUT US
WHO WE ARE
We are a Homeschool & Community Resource Organization dedicated to supporting and empowering families of the African diaspora on their homeschool and alternative educational journeys.
OUR MISSION
To develop an extensive information and referral database, create an international network of education support centers with a focus on educational enrichment and representation for Black and brown children of the African Diaspora.
OUR CORE VALUES
Akoma Cares has a foundation built on what we describe as the three C’s— consciousness, commitment, and compassion. In order to serve our community, it is important that we remain conscious of the challenges associated with educating our own. With that in mind, we are aware that maintaining that level of consciousness requires commitment.
