Service Description

In partnership with Magnolia the Nature Club, the H.Y.P.E Nature Club invites K-6th grade students to embark on an enriching journey through the natural world, exploring the vital connections between nature, health, and sustainability. Over the course of this nature club cycle, participants will delve into topics such as gardening, urban and suburban nature, environmental stewardship, food carbon and herbalism, survival skills, and wood crafting. Students will learn about the importance of local food production, the role of herbs in wellness, and practical skills for thriving in nature, all while fostering a deeper appreciation for the environment. Parent participation is encouraged to enhance the learning experience and strengthen community ties. Parents are expected to remain on-site during club meetings. Join us as we cultivate curiosity, promote mental well-being, and inspire the next generation of environmental stewards! Meetings are primarily held outdoors in the community garden at Pinewood Lake Park. About the Facilitator: My name is Kebbeh Autry, and I am a 37-year-old wife, mother, and founder/instructor of MAGNOLIA, the Nature Club. Growing up in Germany instilled in me a deep appreciation for nature and outdoor adventures from an early age. My true enthusiasm lies in crafting and creating art with a variety of materials and establishing a holistic, nature-based children's club. My mission is to inspire children to disconnect from screens and reconnect with the great outdoors, cultivating a generation of environmentally aware young adults. My passion is firmly rooted in nature-based holistic education, where I nurture children's bond with the natural world. Through engaging, hands-on activities, I strive to instill a love for the environment while supporting holistic growth.
